VITA — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pollaris ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use VITA. We follow the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

1. Data Controller

Pollaris is the controller of personal data processed through VITA. You can reach our data team at privacy@pollaris.com.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: name, email, password hash, language. Profile & fitness data: age range, height, weight, goals, training history, workout logs, perceived effort, preferences. Usage data: device type, OS, app version, crash logs, anonymized interaction events. Optional health data: heart rate or activity data you choose to import from HealthKit, Google Fit, or wearables. Communications: messages you send to support.

3. Why We Use Your Data

To deliver the core service (generate plans, track progress, sync devices). To improve VITA — debug, measure performance, train and evaluate models on aggregated and anonymized data. To communicate with you about updates, support, and legal notices. To meet legal obligations (tax, fraud prevention).

5. AI & Model Training

VITA uses AI providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or comparable services) to generate suggestions. We send only the data necessary to produce a useful answer. We do not allow these providers to use your data to train their public models. We may use de-identified, aggregated data internally to improve our own product. You can opt out of contributing to product analytics in the app.

6. Who Sees Your Data

We share data only with: (i) infrastructure and AI providers acting as our processors under contract (e.g. cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, customer support, payment processors); (ii) law enforcement or public authorities when legally required; (iii) a buyer or successor in the event of a merger or acquisition, with prior notice. We do not sell your personal data.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own (notably the United States and the European Union). When we transfer personal data internationally we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms.

8. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we delete personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Anonymized data may be kept for research and product analytics.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to: access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, port it to another service, and withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights write to privacy@pollaris.com — we will respond within 15 days.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, role-based access, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure — if a data breach affecting your personal data occurs we will notify you and the appropriate authority within the deadlines required by law.

11. Children

VITA is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@pollaris.com and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
